Ultrasonic Welding Transducer
The ultrasonic welding transducer acts as the core functional component of a complete ultrasonic welding system.
It converts high-frequency electrical energy into steady high-frequency mechanical vibration.
First, the product is assembled with multiple piezoelectric ceramic wafers.
These ceramic wafers are preloaded and fastened tightly between two metal end blocks.
A thin metal electrode sheet is arranged between every two ceramic wafers.
When alternating electrical signals are applied to these electrode sheets, the piezoelectric ceramics produce periodic expansion and contraction.
Such periodic mechanical deformation generates stable axial ultrasonic vibration.
Furthermore, a standard ultrasonic welding system requires matched supporting components for reliable operation.
Besides, a complete ultrasonic system mainly consists of three core modules: ultrasonic generator, transducer and welding horn.
